About Ryan
I'm not the guy who has it figured out.
I'm the guy who lost everything—home, health, family—and refused to stop climbing.
I served in the Air Force as Tactical Air Control Party, attached to Army units. I survived floods, fires, and a motorcycle accident that should have killed me. I've been divorced, estranged from my daughter, and closer to the edge than I like to admit.
What saved me wasn't a breakthrough moment. It was small, consistent actions. Movement when I didn't want to move. Reflection when I wanted to run. Connection when I wanted to hide. And mercy—for myself—when everything in me said I didn't deserve it.
Now I write about what I've learned. Not from the mountaintop, but from the middle of the climb.
If you're struggling, you're not alone. And you don't have to figure it out by yourself.
"I've read a lot of self-help. This isn't that. This is a man telling the truth about what it takes to survive."

"The french fries chapter broke me. In a good way. I called my daughter right after."

"Finally, a framework that doesn't ask me to be perfect. Just present."
